A police officer has been killed in a terrorist attack in Kashmir. The incident took place in Khaini area on Sunday.

 Authorities say members of the armed group attacked a police officer on his way back from the hospital. He died on the spot.

 Security forces launched an operation in the area immediately after the incident.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has blamed India for the violence and human rights situation in Kashmir.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Qureshi told a news conference that India had violated human rights by deploying troops in the region and arresting political leaders.

"India will have to withdraw its troops from Kashmir as soon as possible.
